Campaign launch to the horticultural sector
The Campaign has produced information and guidance for horticultural and potato growers. Now available are posters and leaflets giving information about how producers can take part in the Campaign.
Sarah Pettit, chair of the NFU Board for horticulture and potatoes said, "We urge all horticultural and potato producers to take an active role in the Campaign. If we do not achieve set targets our industry will face increased regulation which is likely to conclude compulsory set aside measures."
There are a variety of measures on offer that have been developed to complement field crop production activities. Growers can contribute to the Campaign through one of two routes:
ELS
Whether you renew your existing agreement or join for the first time, make sure that you choose any of the key in-field options that contribute to the Campaign.
Voluntary measures
Put in place any of the Campaign's voluntary measures and record them in your booklet.
